What file formats do you provide?
Most projects can be delivered as STL, OBJ, and PLY files. The exact deliverables will be selected based on how you intend to use the scan.
Do I need experience with CAD or 3D scanning?
No. We will help explain the available options and recommend the deliverables that best fit your project.
Can I drop off my part?
Yes. Local drop-off is available by appointment. On-site scanning may also be available for larger parts, assemblies, vehicles, or equipment.
Can I ship a part to you?
Shipped-in projects may be accepted after the project has been reviewed and approved. Shipping arrangements and return shipping will be discussed before the part is sent.
How long does a project take?
Turnaround time depends on the size, complexity, condition, and processing requirements of the project. An estimated completion time will be provided before work begins.
Does a 3D scan include a finished CAD model?
A 3D scan typically produces a mesh-based digital model. CAD modeling, reverse engineering, and scan-to-CAD services may be quoted separately when required.
